If you’ve ever dreamed of playing a ruthless mob enforcer or a cocky young hustler with a New York accent, now’s your chance—a new crime thriller is gearing up to film on Long Island later this year, and they’re on the hunt for actors to join the action.
The untitled Italian-American mob-inspired crime thriller is the latest project from Chuck and Karolina Morrongiello, the filmmaking duo behind horror flicks Amityville: Mt. Misery Road and The American Ripper. This time, they’re bringing their signature dark, twisted storytelling to the world of organized crime, and they need “fearless” talent to help bring the story to life.
Among the roles being cast is Jimmy Farinelli – A young, attractive man with a thick New York accent and a cigarette habit. He’s cocky, ambitious, and ready to trade his dishwashing job for something bigger… and much more dangerous. (Male, 25-35)
There’s also Bernie “The Jew” – The cold-blooded underboss of the Bellecci crime family. A calculating executioner and the mastermind behind the family’s most brutal operations. (Male, 48-60)
The casting call is open to all New York-based actors, ages 5-80, with a mix of paid and unpaid roles. Compensation ranges from $50 to $1,680, depending on the role. Background actors and some day players will be unpaid.
Director Chuck Morrongiello isn’t holding back on the intensity of this project, teasing in a Facebook casting call:
“[His production company] 3 RATS ENTERTAINMENT LLC is unleashing its most disturbing, edge-of-your-seat crime-horror film yet—a story so intense it will leave audiences breathless. We’re searching for fearless actors ready to step into a world of dark secrets, brutal twists, and relentless suspense. Do you have what it takes?”
